experience at istana

hehe... today's the 1st time i visited the istana... pretty great day for me ya. went to drag bev, qq n shuyun wif me after gp tuition...:D
well there was this line forming outside but saw the queue moving rather fast. think the authorities should do sth about the fencing cos it was rather hectic to walk along them..feels as if im in a maze. even bev complained too. haha. and there was the security check..tink everyone of us is a potential terrorist.
finally got in thru the entrance. saw this huge piece of greenland ahead of us that resembles a golf course. magnificant! haha. and got a few families picnicking there. we were walking along the path n taking pics along the way too. qq say we seem lyk we're quite 'sua ku' trying to take whatever pics we can find all over. but it's our 1st trip leh! haha. den of coz i wanted to see aj band performance, but dint manage to find the tent where band was performing. so in the end only heard the distinct sounds of the instruments...playing in the background..hai..
anyway we took some time to walk all thru the pathway and wind in to the istana house...finally! ya. took pics again. see the fountain with some kids playing, qq and bev wanted to ask thr mum of a rather cute-looking girl if she can pose wif us in a photo but the little girl was too shy n afraid...haha.
den went into the istana house with bev n qq paid $2.shuyun missed it cos she went look for the washroom. yah, so we jus viewed some of the exquisite yet exorbitant works of art that were mostly gifts from the top officials of other c'tries. nth much den. did take a rather discrete pic of the pres's conference room. haha. qq was shocked to see a flash coming out.
hey.here comes the part. we took a few pics wif the uniformed guys or the cadets or soldiers wadsoever. hehe. dey were rather friendly to pose with us. qq n bev were especially brightened to see them...haha dey were the ones who asked dem to take pics wif us de. but the guys in white uniforms were pretty serious looking coz haf the guard the entrance n exit so cant smile cant move...but we still took wif dem without their acknowledgement.ha.
wan thank those strangers for helping us take photos though some dint turn out dat well.!~
